SMACK presents a dialogue between the digital camcorder and the female body.
A multimedia performance that positions the influence of pop culture on the individual and explores physical agency through common memories of 90’s youth. To the backdrop of iconic music, Spektakel forcefully celebrates the imaginative and the playful, while exploring a culture where identity is performed, relationships staged and life is a theatre of the absurd.
SMACK is choreographed and performed by Olivia Edginton, Ingvild Marstein Olsen and Vera Ilona Stierli. Spektakel is choreographed by Natalie Sloth Richter in collaboration with the performers Molly Nyeland, Johanna Merceron, Irene Ingebretsen, Svenja Bühl & Vivian Triantafyllopoulou.
